The first week of term is an orientation week for first year diploma entrants. Students undergo physical assessment by the Physiotherapist and both their physical and pastoral well being is monitored closely in these early days. Students are regularly assessed throughout each term, and at the end of term are interviewed to review and discuss their progress.
On the first day at College students are introduced to their Year Tutor and a student representative is chosen to liaise with the Year Tutor about various issues of focus which may arise. Students receive a Student Handbook which contains all the relevant information they require to settle in successfully. The Year Tutor will be available to offer professional advice and guidance throughout the course on a variety of subjects, including student welfare.
Pastoral concerns are dealt with in confidence and counseling is available to all students.
